Meet our Leadership Team

Char has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Char has an Associate Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, her PHR Certification, and her Nursing Home Administrator license.  She has experience in Human Resources, Recruitment/Retention, Culture Building/Change, Marketing, Public Relations, and Administration. “I know I am only as good as my team. We have a great team here at The Lutheran Home at Kane; one I am proud to lead.”  Char resides in St. Marys with her husband, Eugene and their two children Josh and Ashley and their Aussie, Zoey.

Kelly Eckert, RN

Director of Nursing

Kelly received her Nursing Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and she is currently working towards her Masters Degree for Family Nurse Practitioner. Kelly brings several years of nursing experience to The Lutheran Home including flight nursing with Stat Medevac and work at local emergency rooms. Her experience in long term care includes Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, infection control and wounds. Kelly and her two children, Brianna and Aiden, reside in Kane. She enjoys kayaking, biking and running.  She believes in being a strong patient advocate!

Missy received her Bachelors Degree in Computer Application and Information Systems from Clarion University.  She has numerous years of experience in the healthcare field, has implemented several large computer software programs, and has experience in project management, troubleshooting, security, safeguards and much more.  Missy, a native of Kane, resides in Mt. Jewett with her husband, Jeff.  Missy and Jeff have two grown children, Austin and Ashley and they enjoy spending family time together.

Scott received his degree in recreation from Bluefield State College in West Virginia.  He received state millwright certificate and HVAC technician certification along with numerous other state certifications.  He has more than 30 years of maintenance experience.  He currently serves at the volunteer fire chief in Ridgway.  Scott resides in Ridgway with his wife, Eva, their two sons, Chase and Orin and their hunting dog, Moses.  Scott also has two adult sons Zachary and Elliot. Scott enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Halladay Swanson is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from University of Maryland-College Park. Halladay’s previous experience includes public accounting, as well as managing the financial operations of nonprofit and health and human services organizations.  Halladay was born and raised in Orchard Park, NY and currently resides in Kennedy, NY.

Danielle has worked in the food industry for the past 11 years.  She completed her schooling through the University of Florida to become a Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional and is a member of the Association of Nutrition & Food Service Professionals.  Danielle lives in Wilcox with her boyfriend Nick, daughter Zoe, and 2 dogs.  Outside of  work, she enjoys spending her time in her garden and canning with her family.

Linda began her career at the Lutheran Home in 1992.  She has served in many roles during her time at the home.  Some of her current responsibilities include overseeing Housekeeping, Laundry, Floor Care, Transportation, Purchasing and the Safety Committee.  Linda is from Titusville, PA and has been married to her husband, Allen for 29 years.  They currently reside in Kane. Linda has two children Jacqueline and Michael.  She also has a dog named Rocky.

Kim has been with the Lutheran Home at Kane for several years. Among her responsibilities are admissions, discharges, transfers, addressing resident needs, MDS 3.0 assessment, care planning, and Medical Assistance applications.   Kim has a Masters’ degree in Psychology and prior experience working in mental health and intellectual disabilities with children and adolescents.

Kim Robbins
Director of Social Services

Kim is a mother of 4 children who enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping swimming, hunting, fishing and hiking. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. While studying for her bachelor degree, she focused her studies in Gerontology and in Adapted Population Activity and Recreation. She has worked in gerontology for 11 years with the focus of improving quality of life.

Pastor Pfleiger celebrates 50 years of ordained ministry.  He has served a variety of parishes, did a residency at Hershey Medical Center in order to become a Board Certified Chaplain, and has served in that capacity here at The Lutheran Home for over 20 years.  He has done Hospice Care with Community Nurses and is the long- term interim Pastor at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kane. Pastor Pfleiger is married to Jane and they have two children, David & Diana, and a number of grand-animals.

Sally received her nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.  She began working at the Lutheran Home while she was still in high school.  Sally has served in several different roles during her career at the Lutheran Home; Nursing Supervisor, Care Coordinator and her current role at MDS Coordinator.  Her duties entail completing Medicare and Medicaid required assessments according to regulations for the purpose of care planning and reimbursement. Sally resides in Kane with her husband, Dan, and their children Daniel, Katelyn, Daria, Maya, and Alec.

Michele fulfilled her goal of becoming a nurse in 2004.  While working for a podiatrist, she studied and became licensed in podiatric radiology in 2005. In 2005, she also began working at RCC and has been there ever since. Michele has held the titles of LPN Supervisor, Resident Services Manager and most recently obtained her Personal Care Home Administrator Certification in 2017. She is a huge advocate for our residents and staff alike.  Michele was born and raised in Kane and has 3 children at home - Ryan, Ashlyn and Mason.  She enjoys activities related to being outdoors, family time and any sports her children participate in.

Dawn has been an employee of The Lutheran Home at Kane since 2000.  She has an extensive background in healthcare with various roles making her an asset to the facility.  Dawn not only has experience in Human Resources, but also scheduling, payroll, collective bargaining, and medical records. Dawn resides in Kane with her husband Jerry and is the mother of three children - Tim, Michelle, and Sam.

Chelise received her Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree from Edinboro University in 1994.  She has worked in various aspects of nursing including med/surg, home health, psychiatric, ICU, emergency room, and the operating room/short procedure unit.  Long term experience includes RN Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, and overseeing wounds.  Chelise has 3 grown children, Shana, Cameron, and Alysha.  Chelise lives in Kane with her youngest daughter Alysha, significant other, Gus her dog, and Opal her cat.  She enjoys being outdoors, boating, motorcycle rides, and spending time with her family.
