For more than 50 years, The Lutheran Home at Kane (LHK) has provided for the needs of our aging population through quality services, specialized programs and a caring staff. Our goal is to meet our residents’ physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs with understanding, dignity and respect. At a time when rural long-term care facilities are closing around the country, LHK is committed to growth and to being here for future generations. But we need your help.

When shopping for Christmas gifts this season, please keep LHK in mind. There may be people on your list who would appreciate having a donation to LHK made in their name, rather than receiving a tangible gift. This is a perfect option for people who “have everything” or whose lives have been impacted in some way by the services we provide.

Can we count on your support?
Making a donation to us is a great way to show friends, family members, and co-workers you are thinking about them during the holiday season and you are mindful of the needs in your community. 

The Lutheran Home is a Continuum of Care Retirement Community. Our services include independent living, skilled nursing and personal care. As a stand-alone facility, we must rely on foundations and community support to purchase capital equipment. All unrestricted funds raised through the Christmas appeal will be used to purchase a wheelchair van. Our vans are used on a daily basis to provide transportation for resident doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, family outings and special events. Our current vans are more than 10 years old and have significant repairs that need attention.
