Long Term Skilled Nursing Care Licensure

The skilled nursing unit of the facility is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Private and semi-private accommodations for skilled care are available, along with a special unit designed to support dementia and other related disorders.

Skilled Nursing Care offers a level of care that must be supervised by a Registered Nurse. Examples of skilled care include; getting intravenous injections, tube feeding, wound care, medication administration, postoperative care and pain management. There are other skilled services as established by the Medicare and Medicaid federal and state programs.

Nursing Assistants provide assistance with the bathing, personal grooming, dressing, dining programs, ambulation, activities and provides the special compassion that helps make a difference, each and every day.

The nursing staff and interdisciplinary team works closely with the resident’s physician to coordinate a plan of care designed to meet each resident’s physical, social and emotional needs. However, it is not just a team effort with dietary, rehabilitation, activities, nursing and other services; it is our goal to involve the resident, family and friends to promote the quality of life each resident desires.
