Respite Care

What is respite care?

"Respite" refers to short term, temporary care provided to the elderly or individual with special needs. Family members can take a break from the daily routine of care giving or get away for a few days..

Who needs respite care?

One of the important purposes of respite is to give family members temporary relief from  the stress they may be experiencing while providing extra care for a loved one. Respite care enables families to take vacations, or just get away for a few days.

Respite is often referred to as a gift of time!

If you have a family member who could benefit through our Respite Care, please call our social service department for more information, (814) 837-6706
