    The Lutheran Home at Kane provides skilled nursing care, personal care, independent living housing alternatives and child day care while serving north western Pennsylvania. A full range of programs are offered while striving to maintain and enhance each person's sense of belonging, dignity and unique individual qualities.  The non-profit 501-c3 is licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC); serves all denominations; and is an Equal Housing Opportunity and Equal Employment Opportunity organization.

The Lutheran Home, Kane, Pa. is a non-profit organization providing professional care and housing alternatives to our community. Through quality services, specialized programs and a caring staff, we strive to bring a sense of belonging to those we serve. Our goal is to meet their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs with understanding, dignity and respect.

ELDER JUSTICE ACT - REPORTING OF ABUSE AND CRIMES

It is the policy of The Lutheran Home to notify board members, employees, consultants, contractors, vendors, volunteers and other individuals of their duty to report reasonable suspicions of crimes to the elderly.  While the Lutheran Home has policies and procedures in place to prevent abuse, complete background checks. investigate abuse, in-service employees and report to the Area Agency on Aging and Pennsylvania Department of Health, some crimes under the EJA also require reporting to law enforcement.  Policies and procedures have been updated to comply with the new EJA regulations.  Questions can be directed to the Administrator.

The Lutheran Home is required by law to:

bullet Make sure that medical/mental health information that identifies you is kept confidential;
bullet Give you this notice of our legal duties and privacy practices regarding your medical information;
bullet Follow the terms of the notice currently in effect.
